The recent successes in the National Senior Certificate (NSC) and Independent Examinations Board (IEB) exams highlight the commitment of Curro’s students, teachers, and supportive communities.
Curro’s 2024 IEB Matric Results
In January 2025, Curro announced exceptional outcomes for its Matric Class of 2024. A total of 2,426 learners participated in the IEB matric exams, achieving an impressive 99% pass rate. Notably, 70.4% of these learners secured a minimum of a C average, with 238 students attaining an A average. These results reflect the high standards of education and the unwavering commitment to excellence that Curro embodies.
Top Achievers and National Recognition
Curro learners have consistently earned prestigious spots on the IEB’s Commendable and Outstanding Achievers lists, highlighting the group’s role in nurturing top-performing students nationwide. For instance, in 2024, several Curro students were recognized for their exceptional performance, placing them among the country’s academic elite.
Curro’s 2024 NSC Matric Results
Complementing the IEB successes, Curro’s NSC matriculants also delivered remarkable performances. With a 95.49% pass rate among 2,217 learners—the largest NSC group for Curro to date—the results underscore the effectiveness of Curro’s educational approach. Six Curro schools achieved a 100% pass rate, including Curro Clayville, Curro Karino, Curro Mahikeng, Northriding College, Curro Sandown, and Curro Uitzicht.
Financial Growth and Investment in Education
Curro’s commitment to providing quality education is further evidenced by its robust financial growth and ongoing investments. In the year ending 31 December 2023, Curro reported a 15% increase in revenue to R4.764 billion, with a 2% rise in the weighted average number of learners to 72,031. The group invested R715 million back into the business, reinforcing its dedication to enhancing educational facilities and resources.
