Enhanced Security Measures

- Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): This adds an extra layer of security by requiring users to enter a One-Time-Pin (OTP) sent to their registered contact details after entering their username and password. - Password Policy Updates: New and updated passwords must now:South African Revenue Service
- Be at least 8 characters long

Biometric Authentication
For new eFiling registrations, SARS has introduced biometric facial recognition for individuals with valid South African IDs. This process requires users to capture a live photo during registration, enhancing identity verification. Users without access to a camera-enabled device can book an appointment for assistance.
